Dimitris Voyiazoglou, avondstemming

Dimitris Voyiazoglou schildert vooral veel schilderijen van landschappen en stadsgezichten. En dit schilderij, dat hij zelf de drie gratiën heeft genoemd, past daar weer geweldig mooi in.

Deserted athenian passage. Athenscape 1. Since I will spend some time in Athens I decided to try and paint en plein air different parts of Athens whether they are ugly, pretty, crowded or deserted. It's the first big city that I met as a child and there are many parts that I still admire and many parts that I feel sorry- like this one. For this part of Athens I have a lot of warm childhood memories since it was full of shops and life and I feel so sad since its completely empty.
